Technical Project Manager – Cloud Migration & Application Modernization at Dataflix

Overview
Dataflix is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate a large-scale application migration from the Base44 platform to AWS. This role will own delivery governance, planning, execution oversight, risk management, and stakeholder coordination across multiple technical workstreams and vendors. The Project Manager will ensure the migration is delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with security, compliance, and quality expectations—while partnering closely with engineering teams and external vendors responsible for implementation.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Governance

• Own the end-to-end project plan covering assessment, migration, testing, go-live, and post-launch support.
• Define milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and acceptance criteria across all workstreams.
• Establish and manage project governance, reporting, and change control processes.
• Track progress against schedule, budget, and scope; proactively manage risks and issues.

Vendor & Delivery Management

• Act as the primary point of coordination between client, cloud engineering vendors, and various internal and external teams.
• Ensure delivery against agreed statements of work (SOWs), timelines, and quality standards.
• Manage offshore, nearshore, and onshore resources working across time zones.

Technical Workstream Oversight

• Oversee technical requirements, design and architecture of the solution.
• Infrastructure and application migration to AWS (Fargate/Lambda, RDS, CI/CD).
• Identity, security, and compliance initiatives (Cognito/Auth0, SSO, SOC 2, CCPA).
• LLM migration from Base44 to Watsonx.ai or equivalent.
• Multi-tenancy refactoring and frontend enhancements.
• Third-party integrations (Stripe Connect, Plaid, Ariba).
• Spanish language enablement and accessibility requirements.

Testing, Go-Live & Cutover

• Coordinate Base44 testing, AWS regression testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Plan and manage production cutover, data migration timing, and rollback strategies.
• Ensure readiness across security, compliance, performance, and business sign-off.

Stakeholder Communication

• Provide clear, regular status updates to executive and business stakeholders.
• Translate technical progress and risks into business-impact language.
• Facilitate decision-making and escalation when issues arise.

Post-Launch Support Oversight

• Manage the 12-month post-go-live maintenance and support phase.
• Track SLAs, incident trends, and continuous improvement initiatives.
   

Required Skills & Experience

Project & Program Management

• 8+ years of experience managing complex technology projects.
• Proven experience delivering cloud migration or application modernization programs.
• Strong command of project management methodologies (Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall).
• Experience managing budgets, timelines, and change control in enterprise environments.

Technical Acumen (Non-Hands-On)

• Strong understanding of AWS-based architectures and SaaS delivery models.
• Familiarity with identity management, security, compliance (SOC 2, CCPA), and multi-tenant systems.
• Ability to challenge teams, validate estimates, and assess technical risk.

Leadership & Communication

• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity.

Engagement Model & Assumptions

• Remote delivery with offshore, nearshore, and onshore resources.
• Major scope changes managed through formal change control.
• No hands-on development or architecture ownership required.
