Overview:
Dataflix is seeking a ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) resource who will be
responsible for supporting the ongoing implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the
CMDB within the ServiceNow platform. This role requires a strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with ITIL practices.
Responsibilities:
- CMDB Configuration and Maintenance: Assist in configuring and maintaining the CMDB in alignment with organizational requirements and best practices.
- Data Population and Validation: Populate the CMDB with accurate and relevant configuration items (CIs) and ensure data integrity through regular validation and reconciliation activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT operations, infrastructure, service desk, and application teams to gather configuration data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of CMDB and related processes to enhance data accuracy, reliability, and usability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to CMDB configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
- Incident and Problem Management Support: Help investigate and resolve incidents and problems related to CMDB data discrepancies or issues.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on CMDB-related processes, tools, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and practices, particularly Configuration Management.
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform, specifically CMDB module configuration and administration. (Minimum of 1 year)
- Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, databases, and applications.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
- ITIL Foundation certification or willingness to obtain it within a specified timeframe is a plus.
