Overview
We are looking for a strong, hands-on Senior Business Systems Analyst who can own requirements and functional alignment across complex delivery engagements, including Al-driven projects. This role is not just documentation focused. You will be expected to actively work with clients, delivery teams, and architects to ensure requirements are clearly defined, validated, and translated into build-ready specifications.
We need someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with business, technology, and delivery teams. Clear communication, structured thinking, and the ability to challenge assumptions are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Requirements ownership and client engagement
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with clients, including workshops, deep- dive discussions, and follow-ups
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business goals, workflows, pain points, and success criteria
- Ensure requirements are clearly articulated, documented, reviewed, and approved before development begins
- Proactively identify gaps, ambiguities, and assumptions in requirements and drive clarification early
Functional analysis and documentation:
- Create clear functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable inputs for development, QA, and architecture teams
- Support blueprinting, solution design discussions, and functional walkthroughs with technical teams
- Ensure traceability between requirements, development tasks, testing, and delivered outcomes
SDLC and delivery collaboration:
- Actively participate across SDLC phases, including requirements, design, development, testing, UAT, and post go-live support
- Partner closely with architects, developers, QA, and delivery leads to ensure alignment throughout the lifecycle
- Review completed work against requirements and validate that outcomes meet agreed expectations before client demos or UAT
Al and data-driven project support:
- Support Al and data-driven initiatives by helping define functional expectations, Al behavior, inputs/outputs, workflows, and user interactions
- Work with architects and Al engineers to ensure Al-related requirements are realistic, testable, and clearly understood
- Help document Al use cases, edge cases, limitations, and success metrics in business terms
Testing, UAT, and issue resolution:
- Support test planning and UAT preparation by ensuring acceptance criteria are clear and complete
- Help triage UAT findings by validating whether issues are requirement gaps, defects, or enhancement requests
- Work with clients and internal teams to document post go-live tasks, changes, and enhancements clearly
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role in software delivery environments
- Strong experience across SDLC phases, including requirements gathering, blueprinting, functional documentation, testing, and UAT support
- Proven ability to work directly with clients and facilitate requirement discussions effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non- technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving gaps
- Solid understanding of relational databases, with hands-on experience using SQL for data analysis and validation
- Experience working with Agile or hybrid delivery models

- Exposure to AI, ML, or automation projects in an enterprise or consulting environment
- Prior experience supporting US-based clients with some overlap in US time zones
