Overview
We are looking for a skilled AS/400 Developer with 3–6 years of experience in IBM i / AS/400 application development and support. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in RPG programming, CL, DB2/400, and application maintenance. The role involves developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support applications on IBM i (AS/400) platform.
- Work on RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400 development.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Debug and resolve production issues within SLA timelines.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
- Optimize existing programs and database queries for performance improvement.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and end users.
- Support system integrations and batch job monitoring.
- Participate in application deployment and release activities.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in AS/400 / IBM i development.
- RPG III / RPG IV / RPGLE / Free Format RPG
- CL / CLLE programming
- DB2/400
- SQL and Query optimization
- DDS concepts
- Experience in debugging and production support.
- Good understanding of SDLC processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
