Overview
We are looking for a strong, hands-on Al Technical Lead who can own design and delivery of Al work across multiple projects. This role is not just advisory. You will be expected to actively code, review work from the team, guide technical design and architecture decisions, and help improve how we deliver Al projects end to end.
We need someone who is practical, takes ownership, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats, designing solutions, building them, guiding engineers, and working closely with delivery leads, DevOps, and clients to get projects done.
Responsibilities
Hands on technical ownership:
- Act as the technical lead on Al engagement and be accountable for solution quality
- Work with teams to design, develop and deploy architecture to support Al, ML and automation solutions.
- Define and oversee the AI/ML/GenAI technical direction and architectural vision,
- ensuring alignment with strategic goals and digital transformation efforts.
- Design and lead development on scalable, high-performance architecture solutions that support both client business as well as AI/GenAI use cases.
- Participate in architectural and deployment discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful scale, security and high availability.
- Step in to analyze and debug issues across different phases of the delivery cycle.
Agentic Al and GenAI work:
- Design and implement agent-based Al solutions, including task orchestration, tool usage, decision logic, and multi-step workflows.
- Work with LLMs in real production scenarios, not just demos or prototypes.
Client and Delivery Collaboration:
- Work closely with delivery leads, architects, and project managers to align on scope and technical approach.
- Participate in client discussions when needed to explain technical decisions in simple terms.
- Help translate business use cases into clear technical solutions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay on top of emerging Al technologies and evaluate their application to Dataflix client engagements.
- Review and improve Al tools, models, and engineering practices based on delivery feedback.
Mentorship & Team Development:
- Mentor Al engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team.
- Guide engineers on design, coding practices, and how to use Al tools responsibly and effectively.
- Help the team become more independent and predictable over time.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, application development, or data engineering roles.
- 4+ years leading the design, architecture, and delivery of Al/ML or GenAI solutions in production environments.
- Proven experience owning the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Strong hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and their real world enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience building agentic Al systems, including multi-agent workflows, orchestration layers, tool usage, and autonomous task execution.
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure), along with familiarity with Al/ML frameworks and automation tools.
- Relevant certifications in Al/ML and cloud platforms are strongly preferred.
- Experience leading and mentoring technical teams, with clear ownership of delivery quality
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
